Terms of Use

Last updated June 2026

The short version

Naerly is a one-time purchase for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, including Family Sharing. Your content is yours and stays in your iCloud. Use the app lawfully; it is provided as-is.

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using Naerly, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. Your use of the App Store is also subject to Apple’s Media Services Terms.

2. Your license

Naerly is a one-time purchase. Buying it grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on your Apple devices. Because it is a universal purchase, one purchase covers iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and it is eligible for Family Sharing. Every feature is unlocked for everyone — there is no subscription and no in-app purchase.

3. Your content and data

The events, people, photos, journal entries, and other content you create are yours. They are stored on your device and in your own Apple iCloud. The developer does not access, control, or back up this content — keeping your own backups (for example via iCloud and your device) is your responsibility.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app, including attempting to reverse-engineer, redistribute, or resell it, or using it to violate any applicable law. The app and its design, name, and logo remain the property of the developer.

5. Third-party content

If you subscribe to external calendar feeds or import calendars, that content originates from sources you choose and is subject to those sources’ own terms. The developer is not responsible for third-party content.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

Naerly is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that reminders will always be delivered on time.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using the app.

8. Changes

We may update the app and these terms from time to time. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Iceland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
